The Joys of Kaboodle

I've blogged before about my obsession with online shopping and bargain hunting, and how deliberate I am in deciding on each purchase, sometimes savings items in my virtual shopping cart for weeks at a time.

A few months ago, I stumbled upon a site that seems like it was personally designed for me. It's called Kaboodle. What is Kaboodle? In the words of its creators:
"Kaboodle is the most fun social shopping network on the web! It's a place where you can express your own style and meet other stylish people by discovering, recommending, and sharing products.
Most exciting, Kaboodle allows you to add and save products from almost anywhere on the web to your shopping lists and wish lists with the easy-to-use Kaboodle button. The button automatically downloads the essential details of a product, including its image, short description, and price and saves it to your list of choice."

Now I am far from what I would call a "super user." There are some people who go on daily and use the site to blog about their purchases, make weekly shopping lists, to create outfits, design polls to get help deciding between several items, share odd online discoveries with others, meet people with similar tastes and sense of style...the possibilities are endless, really.

I use the site to maintain an ongoing personal wishlist (very handy around the holidays) and as a repository of anything and everything I come across online that I would like to have (but never will), am seriously considering buying, or even just want to link back to at a later date. I am not super organized with it, so there's a lot of cross-over between my various lists, but I love having everything in one place, rather than in 15 different online shopping carts on 15 different websites all over the internet. This is so much more convenient - and really fun to use!

Here is a slideshow of one of my lists:

And things I want for the house:

Has anyone else used this site? What do you think of it? How has it changed your online shopping experience? What do you typically use it for? Were you able to get your friends and family members to create wish lists?
